Volkswagen’s latest electric car sold out a year ahead

The Volkswagen ID.Buzz electric car is currently only sold in Europe and is available exclusively in the 204-horsepower version. In the future, the model’s palette will be expanded and sales will begin overseas.

Demand for the new Volkswagen ID.Buzz has exceeded expectations. The retro-style electric minivan has already collected 20,000 orders, which means it will have to wait more than a year. This is reported by the website InsideEVs.

The fact is that in 2022 they plan to produce 15,000 Volkswagen ID.Buzz, of which 6,000 electric cars will be handed over to dealers as test cars, and 9,000 will be delivered to buyers.

Already from 2023, production volumes will begin to gradually increase and in a few years will be brought up to 130,000 vehicles per year. But demand should also grow, because the model will enter the American market.

In addition, the Volkswagen ID.Buzz palette will be expanded in the near future. At the moment, only a five-seater minivan is available for 64,000 euros and a commercial van for 54,000 euros. At the moment, this is the most expensive Volkswagen electric car.

Both of them are equipped with a 204-horsepower motor and a battery with a capacity of 82 kWh. The top speed is limited to 145 km/h and the range is 415 km.

Later there will be an extended seven-seat version and a 300-horsepower all-wheel drive version of the GTX, capable of driving about 500 km on a single charge.
